December 2000
The team has completed its  Christmas ringing  programme  under  the  new  Captain - Jemma Malam and Vice Captain  -  Philip Haslam.   The  four new members seem  to  have  settled  in and are gradually adjustng to the discipline of the team. We have the makings of another good group.

At the  school Christmas Concert   we   displayed  the  Chester  Chronicle   'Champion  Young Person of the Year Award' , which  had been presented to   the  team  at  the  Grosvenor Hotel at the end of November.  This is the first time the  award  has  been  presented  to  a  group  of young people and  for service to the community in Chester.  The glass trophy is  engraved with the name of the team and carries a photograph of the group.

March 2001

Unfortunate we have lost two of our new ringers and are now looking for two replacements. We\are sorry to lose Matthew and Philip - but Darren and Allen are  establishing themselves as very able members of the team.

During the half term break we rang at the Canal Street centre for Age Concern. We are currently practising for the Regional Spring Rally at Ellesmere Port.

The team is considering making a tour of the United Kingdom at the end of June this year. It is hoped that we can stay with handbell teams in various venues and can do a joint concert with them. The proceeds from concerts could be divided between our costs and the host team. if any team out there is interested in hosting us we would be pleased to here from you. (  D.N.Jackson  - Tel. 01244 350293 or E-mail at   <jad@blaconbells.org.uk> ) We are hoping to leave Chester around the 20th. June and there will be 11 ringers and 2 male adults, Mr. Jacksonand a second driver.

Weare also about to start fund-raising for another Americxan trip in 2001!!)
